Few venues in D.C. rival The Willard’s Grand Ballroom with its buttercup yellow, pale blue, and soft green hues, beveled mirrors, crystal chandeliers, and beautifully hand-painted mural. Featuring 4,736 square feet, with an additional 2,176 square feet in the ballroom’s separate entrance foyer, the Grand Ballroom is one of Washington’s most notable venues for conferences, receptions and galas.
Named after Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States and guest of Willard in 1853, the Pierce Room offers 1,984 square feet and is a popular favorite among guests looking to host mid-size meetings. Boasting luxurious rich oak paneling and antique brass chandeliers, the Pierce Room exudes contemporary luxury and historic charm. Located on the hotel’s lower level, this notably quiet meeting space can connect to the Buchanan Room when available and at an additional cost, providing an additional 1,156 of meeting space.

Known historically as both the Ladies Lounge (circa 1901) and the old Tea Room, The Nest has evolved and expanded to become one of The Willard’s premier event spaces. Located above the Round Robin Bar on the hotel’s mezzanine level, The Nest is 900 square feet and is an ideal setting for intimate gatherings, including baby and bridal showers, birthday and anniversary luncheons and dinners, small wedding ceremonies, as well as post wedding brunches. Offering an abundance of natural lighting through its floor-to-ceiling windows, with views of Pennsylvania Avenue, The Nest exudes an air of elegance, warmth, intimacy and tranquility.

Corporate Rounds
Named after Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President to the United States and frequent guest to The Willard, the Grant Suite is 510 square feet overlooking 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue and features floor-to-ceiling windows, an entrance parlor with private restroom, and a hand carved faux fireplace. From small meetings to cocktail receptions for up to 60 people, the Grant Suite is an ideal setting for an intimate event.

Conference
Located directly off Peacock Alley, across from the Crystal Ballroom, the Peacock Lounge is an interior meeting room offering 1,276 square feet, perfect for the most private of meetings. A bi-level room, the Peacock Lounge features an entrance foyer on the first level, ideal for a registration area, with the room’s main meeting area located below. Whether booked by itself or in conjunction with the ballrooms across the hall, the Peacock Lounge serves as a great space for pre-dinner receptions, a VIP hospitality suite, or a smaller breakout space.
Located on the ballroom level, the Buchanan Room offers 1,156 square feet of space with the unique ability to connect to four additional meeting spaces via interior connecting doors, including the Grand Ballroom Foyer, the Grand Ballroom, the Pierce Room and the Garfield Room. Offering great flexibility in room set and a natural flow between adjoining rooms, the Buchanan Room is commonly used not only for the food and beverage component of a meeting taking place in the Pierce Room, but also as a supporting space to an event in the Grand Ballroom. Connecting to the Grand Ballroom’s entrance foyer, the Buchanan Room serves as a convenient location for a ballroom’s pre-function event, such as a reception, or as an expanded space to the ballroom foyer’s set-up.

Classroom
An ideal venue for a small breakout room, VIP hospitality suite, or as the space for the food and beverage component of a meeting in the Buchanan Room, the Garfield Room is often booked in conjunction with a larger meeting. Located on the ballroom level, this room is 416 square feet and offers a quiet, intimate space perfect for 30 people or less.
Located on the ballroom level, the Fillmore Room features 465 square feet and is well designed to hold small breakout meetings, serve as a hospitality suite for visiting VIPs, as well as provide the office space needed by your event team to execute your in-house program while also having access to your meeting attendees.
Tucked away on the far end of the ballroom level, the Taylor Room features 600 square feet and is often used as a breakout room, boardroom-style meeting space or hospitality suite. With convenient access to the hotel’s VIP entrance, the Taylor Room offers a high level of discreetness and quiet.

An interior space located on the 2nd floor, the Chase Room is 416 square feet and lends itself well as a boardroom-style meeting room for 20. Combined with the neighboring Douglas Room through an interior door, the Chase Room serves as a perfect space for the food and beverage component of a meeting in the Douglas Room.
Offering 768 square feet, the Douglas Room can accommodate meetings with up to 60 people. Commonly set in a hollow rectangle, banquet rounds, or crescent rounds, the Douglas Room is a great mid-size breakout room used in conjunction with a larger program. This room can also be combined with the Chase Room via an interior door, providing an additional 416 square feet of space perfect for an adjoining breakout space, food and beverage component or registration area.

Classroom
Featuring 780 square feet, the Taft Room is the second largest meeting space on the 2nd floor. Located among six other smaller spaces, The Taft Room is a great mid-size breakout room used in conjunction with a larger program. This room can also be combined with the Stone Room via an interior door, providing an additional 400 square feet of space perfect for an adjoining breakout space, food and beverage component or registration area.
Located on the 2nd floor, the Stone Room offers 400 square feet and is an interior room well suited for small meetings of up to 30 people. With the ability to be connected to the Taft Room, the Stone Room also serves as a great venue for the food & beverage component or registration area for a Taft Room meeting.
Located on the 2nd floor, the Brandeis Room offers 512 square feet and is an intimate space ideal for 20 people or less. Featuring ornate woodwork, a crystal chandelier, and natural lighting the Brandeis Room is the ideal venue for an executive boardroom or small breakout room.
Featuring an abundance of natural light on the 2nd floor, the Holmes and Hughes Rooms are two separate spaces that can be combined via an inner air wall. A unique attribute, this air wall offers great flexibility in room set when booked together, particularly for those meetings with an accompanying food and beverage component. With 580 square feet. the Holmes Room is often selected as the location for the meeting, with the Hughes Room functioning as the space for food and beverage or a registration area.
The Willard Atrium & Courtyard is compromised of two spaces. The semi-private, glass enclosed indoor atrium, is seamlessly wrapped between the Willard InterContinental and the Willard Office Building, flooding this unique space with natural light. The adjoining seasonal outdoor courtyard is a lush, terraced oasis conveniently hidden between the two buildings. These spaces are utilized simultaneously allowing guests to flow freely between an indoor and outdoor environment contingent on weather conditions.
