A cherished holiday tradition is about to return to Willard InterContinental. On December 3, we will unveil this year’s Gingerbread Display—an all-new creation crafted in collaboration with Chef Gianpier Flores, Executive Pastry Chef of The Occidental. Known for his imaginative approach and exceptional pastry artistry, Chef Flores brings a fresh perspective to one of the hotel’s most beloved seasonal centerpieces.
While the full design remains under wraps until unveiling day, guests can expect an intricate, hand-crafted piece inspired by the history and shared legacy of Willard InterContinental and The Occidental. From aromatic gingerbread to finely detailed edible elements, this year’s display promises to blend tradition, creativity, and festive wonder in a way that captures the magic of the season.
The 2025 Gingerbread Display will debut on December 3 and remain on view in the hotel lobby the end of the holiday season. Visitors are invited to experience the display as part of the hotel’s festive holiday atmosphere, which includes holiday afternoon tea, the nightly caroling program, Christmas Day Brunch, and—new this year—Breakfast with Santa for families.
